Welcome to the Anabaptist Deaf Ministries website!

Our vision...
...is that God's Good News, given through Jesus Christ, will be understood and received by Deaf individuals and, that the valuable gifts of the Deaf Community will be shared in the Christian church.

Our mission...

 1.  To Encourage:   by providing  nurture and support to families in Anabaptist related congregations that include Deaf individuals.
2.  To Educate: by advocating a cultural understanding of the Deaf community, recognizing the gifts of this community, and offering resources to share the Good News of Jesus Christ
3.  To Network:  by linking families, individuals and Anabaptist churches that have Deaf participants and members.

The Anabaptist Deaf Ministries Board is a group of hearing and Deaf Christians representing scattered Anabaptist Churches (Mennonite Churches, Brethren in Christ, etc.) from across the USA.  We convene twice a year and, empowered by God's Spirit, strive to discern how to share Christ's Good News within the hearing and Deaf communities.

The 2010 Reuben Savanick scholarships have been awarded to three individuals!  See details under "Resources" tab.
